Anna Cargill

Anna Cargill.jpg

Anna is a charming, versatile singer originally from Fort Worth, Texas. She was classically trained at Tulane University in New Orleans where she gained experience performing and studying opera and musical theater. Although her focus now lies in jazz and big band music, she utilizes that musicianship and big vocal range in every style of music she sings. Her first professional job with the American Queen Steamboat Company carried her up and down the Mississippi River where she performed in nightly variety shows with a seven-piece band and entertained guests in the lounge and bar. The job opened up many wonderful opportunities for the young artist, including writing her own headlining show in which she payed homage to the diverse career of Linda Ronstadt.

After her three-year river cruise adventure, she performed at upscale events with Third Coast Swing in Houston’s 1940’s Air Terminal Museum as well as regular engagements with Austin Opera Troupe, One Ounce Opera, and The Marvelous Vintage Tea Party, a vintage-inspired catering company in Austin. She recently returned to cruise ship work as an Assistant Cruise Director and then as a Featured Band Singer on Seabourn Cruise Line.

Anna never fails to captivate audiences with a warm, clean vocal style rarely found amongst her contemporaries.
